Dear Colleagues,

I hope you are well.

Thank you to everyone who attended the launch of the Linbro Park Management District, and especially to our speakers who gave their time and insight so generously. The clear message from the day was that real progress comes through teamwork—from finance and infrastructure to inclusive development and coordinated communication.

Pain Points & Quick Wins

We’ve started engaging suppliers to obtain quotes for the first practical workstreams: clean-up initiatives and a number of visible, “easy fix” improvements. Once these quotes are in, a financial proposal will be circulated to members.

In parallel, I’ve begun meeting with developers to understand their specific pain points, so that our priorities are inclusive and grounded in what’s actually happening on the ground.

Marketing & Visibility

The LPMD website is live at www.lpmd.co.za, and the first press releases have gone out. We should start seeing some traction from this, and I’ll also be engaging with a few key people for interviews where appropriate to ensure Linbro Park and the LPMD are positioned clearly and constructively.

Going forward, I’ll send a short monthly update like this to keep everyone informed of progress, conversations, and next steps.

Community & Place-Making

One of the strongest messages at the launch was: don’t leave people as an afterthought.

A comment that resonated was the idea of seeing Linbro Park as ONE, a single, “smart city” style development, keeping residents and employees firmly in mind.

We’re already seeing encouraging signs of this thinking—for example, the Reidlee running group that has formed. This opens up bigger questions: jogging and cycling trails, cul-de-sacs as people spaces, and better, safer links to the nature reserve. These are exactly the conversations we should be having as we shape the area together.

MOU – A Gentle Reminder

If you haven’t yet sent through your signed MOU (attached), please could you do so. The MOU gives us the mandate to engage and coordinate on your behalf and in the collective interest of the area. Once we have your MOU, we’ll also load your logo onto the membership page of the website.

Thank you again for your support and commitment to making Linbro Park work better for all of us.

Warm regards,
